This year's International Apparel Federation (IAF) World Apparel Convention is being held at the same time as cutting-edge textile fair Interstoff Asia, helping to ensure the two events will appeal to as many industry professionals as possible.
Organisers of Interstoff Asia Essential Autumn say they will once again focus on specialised fashion, functional and eco fabrics, and have invited Bluesign Technologies AG to host special eco area at the upcoming fair called the Bluesign LAB.
"This is a great opportunity for suppliers to promote products that qualify for the Bluesign standard of ecological manufacturing," according to Ms Wendy Wen, trade fair director for Messe Frankfurt (HK).
The trade fair's close proximity to mainland China also provides an opportunity to showcase new, fresh and exciting textiles to Southern Chinese buyers as well as international traders.
Textile exports from Hong Kong to China rose by 12.7 per cent in the first quarter of 2010 and delegations are expected to attend from several industry associations around China.
Interstoff Asia Essential will take place from October 6 to 8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 26th IAF World Apparel Convention will also take place in Hong Kong from October 5 to 7.
